华鼎奖，是中国娱乐产业最高荣誉，由华鼎奖集团在世界各地，举办具有国际影响力的娱乐盛典，旨在通过华语观众选择，表彰各国影视界、音乐界的杰出成就，推动中国文化国际传播与多元文化交流。
华鼎奖创立于2007年，至今已经连续举办了30多届，它的前身是一项演艺名人公众形象满意度调查，后来在调查基础上加入评选和颁奖形式。所以，华鼎奖初期是一项公众形象方面的荣誉，被誉为“老百姓口碑荣誉”，主要为鼓励全球演艺名人的公益和创作精神，从而藉此表扬对社会责任有杰出贡献的演艺界人士而举办。后来，随着快速发展，华鼎奖又把影视作品和音乐作品纳入评价体系，分为三类：作品类、人物类、终身成就奖或特别贡献类，主要参考票房数据、收视率和观影满意度为综合考量。
短短15年时间，华鼎奖就凭借公正、公开的立场，表彰全球1000多位影视导演、编剧、演员和幕后工作者，成为亚洲最具影响力的娱乐奖项之一。2023年，华鼎奖集团宣布：将电影、电视剧、音乐和公益慈善所进行的评奖、颁奖，全面升级为：华鼎国际电影节、华鼎国际电视节、华鼎国际音乐节、华鼎国际艺术节、华鼎慈善之夜，分别颁发“全球电影和电视艺术华鼎奖”、“全球音乐华鼎奖”、“全球公益慈善华鼎奖”，并称为“华鼎年度三大奖”。
华鼎品牌升级之后，在奖项设置、比赛方式、评选方法等方面作出较大调整，增设了技术类奖项，在华鼎国际电影节增设了世界青年电影短片大赛，进而使华鼎奖的奖项设置更加合理、评选体系更趋完善。美国《综艺》杂志表示，这对于提升华鼎奖的品牌形象，以及实现华鼎奖从亚洲大奖进入全球重要奖项俱乐部有着重要意义。美国《好莱坞报道》杂志，还对该奖项给予了高度评价，认为华鼎奖注重观众感受，打破陈规的评选方式颠覆众多国际奖项现有评选模式，同时涉足电影、电视、音乐、综艺等领域过去绝无仅有，称华鼎奖相当于是“一个集合奥斯卡、艾美奖、格莱美于一体的东方奖项。
华鼎年度三大奖，其中最值得关注的就是华鼎国际电影节和华鼎国际电视节，所主办“全球电影和电视艺术华鼎奖”，具体细分为“主竞赛”、“关注华语电影”、“世界青年短片竞赛”、“新电影计划”、“华鼎观众周”、“国际影评人周”、“亚洲电影新貌”、“华鼎市场展”等单元。
华鼎奖定位是“一个旅行中的荣誉”，创意萌发于巴塞罗那，诞生于北京，成长于世界有活力的地方。华鼎奖早期先后在中国北京、太原、深圳、上海、成都、苏州落地，后来又在国际都市中共澳门、香港、美国洛杉矶轮流举办。历年来，华鼎奖在政府部门和各大影视机构的大力支持与推动下，愈来愈受到影视、音乐业界与民间的肯定与喝彩。
不论是从举办公众形象满意度调查，以征选好口碑导演、演员、音乐人来激励娱乐市场和净化社会风气，到华鼎奖设立影视、音乐作品奖项，以至从中国走向亚洲，然后发展到全球范围，华鼎奖从名不见经传到享誉世界，终于为自己赢得了含金量很高的“全球观众口碑大奖”、“一个不同于奥斯卡的荣誉”美称，使全球观众有了一个属于自己的娱乐盛会。

Introduction to Huading Awards
Huading Awards, the highest honor in China's entertainment industry, is an internationally influential entertainment event organized by the Huading Awards Group, aiming to recognize outstanding achievements in film, television and music industries from various countries through the selection of Chinese audiences, and to promote the international communication and multicultural exchange of Chinese culture.
Founded in 2007, the Huading Awards have been held for more than 30 sessions. Its predecessor was a survey on the public image satisfaction of performing artists and celebrities, and later the selection and awarding process was added to the survey. Therefore, the award was initially a public image honor, known as the "people's word-of-mouth honor", and was mainly held to encourage the public welfare and creative spirit of the celebrities from all around the world, so as to praise those who have made outstanding contributions to social responsibility.
Later, with the rapid development, the Huading Awards also included film and music into the selection system, and were divided into three categories: Works, Characters, and Lifetime Achievement Award or Special Contribution Award, mainly with reference to box office data, audience ratings and film-watching satisfaction as a comprehensive consideration. In just 15 years, the Huading Awards have become one of the most influential entertainment awards in Asia by recognizing more than 1,000 film and television directors, screenwriters, actors and behind-the-scenes workers around the world with its fair and open position.
In 2023, the Huading Awards Group announced that the selection and awards for films, teleplays, music and charity will be fully upgraded into: Huading International Film Festival, Huading International Televison Festival, Huading International Music Festival, Huading International Art Festival, and Huading Charity Night, respectively, to award the "Global Film and Television Art Huading Award", "Global Music Huading Award", and "Global Charity Huading Award", which are also called the "Three Huading Annual Awards".
After the brand upgrade, the Huading Awards made great adjustments in the award setting, competition methods and selection methods, and the technical award categories have been added. It also added the World Youth Short Film Competition to the Huading International Film Festival, thus making the award setting of the Huading Awards more reasonable and the selection system more perfect.
According to Variety magazine, this is of great significance to the enhancement of the brand image of the Huading Awards and the entry of it from the Asian awards to the global awards club. The Hollywood Reporter magazine also highly praised the Huading Awards, saying that the Huading Awards focus on the audience's feelings, break the stereotypes of the selection method to subvert the existing selection mode of many international awards, and involve in film, television, music and variety arts and other fields is unprecedented in the past, saying that the Awards are equivalent to "a collection of Oscars, Emmy, Grammy in one of the Oriental awards".
Among the three annual awards, the most noteworthy is the Huading International Film Festival and the Huading International Television Festival, which hosts the "Global Film and Television Arts Huading Awards", subdivided into the "Main Competition", "Focus on Chinese Films", "World Youth Short Film Competition", "New Film Project", "Huading Audience Week", "International Film Critics' Week", "New Look at Asian Films", "Huading Market Exhibition" and other units.
Huading Award is positioned as "an honor in travel". The idea originated in Barcelona, was born in Beijing, and grew up in a dynamic place in the world. In the early days, the Huading Awards were held in Beijing, Taiyuan, Shenzhen, Shanghai, Chengdu and Suzhou, and then held in Macau, Hong Kong and Los Angeles in turn.
Over the years, with the support and promotion of government departments and major film and television organizations, the Huading Awards have been increasingly recognized and applauded by the film, television and music industries and the general public. From organizing public image satisfaction surveys to select directors, actors and musicians with good reputation to stimulate the entertainment market and purify the social atmosphere, to establishing awards for film, television and music works, and from China to Asia and then to the world, the Awards have grown from unknown to world-renowned, finally earning itself the highly prestigious "Global Audience Word of Mouth Award" and "an honor different from the Oscars", so that the global audience has an entertainment event of their own.
The Huading Annual Awards are usually held in March, June and December each year.
